R. Raphael Baruch b. Jacob Toledano (1892–1971) was rabbi in Meknes. After his father's death he was appointed to the bet din, and from about 1940 he was av bet din of Meknes. He was very active in community affairs, and founded yeshivot. He immigrated to Israel in 1965. R. Toledano wrote a summarized version of the complete Shulhan Arukh (1966), as well as a number of poems and piyyutim, some of which are recited by oriental communities and Sephardim. An erudite scholar and kabbalist, R. Toledano attracted many followers who sought his counsel and blessings.
