There is a forward, contents, and errata (sinnstörende druckfehler). After is the liturgy in facing Hebrew and German pages for daily and Shabbat prayers (1-247). Next (248-87) is text entirely in German covering the concepts of Judaism, for example, Gottesverehrung (admiration of G-d), Lehre von Sinai (doctrine from Sinai), Die zehn Worte (ten commandments), die Grundlehren des Judenthums (basic teachings of Judaism), die Freundlichkeit Gottes (the friendliness of God), etc. Next are the prayers for festivals, Shabbat Minhah, Purim, and Tishah be-Av, Birkat ha-Mazon, concluding with a variety of prayers for the home in German and an appendix with prayers omitted from the text. The part of this prayer book that reads from left to right has two German title pages and comprises the Torah readings in German for Shabbat and festivals, and blessings for special occasions, such as bei eienr beschneidung im hause (circumcision), Schlussgebet (upon retiring for the night), and a series of sermons for funeral occasions. The Hebrew is in square vocalized letters, the German in Fraktur (gothic letters). The inner endpaper of the first part has an owner’s signature, in French, which reads Mme.
