Detailed
Description
This unusual copper Menorah was made in Jerusalem during the British mandate rule in "Palestine" probably around the 1920s from the shells of bullets of World War I. The bullets were nicely rounded on the top so that they will accept wicks for the oil.

The motif in this Menorah are lions holding up a Menorah as depicted in manuscripts from the Middle Ages and according to most commentators were like the Menorah in the Holy Temple of Jerusalem. On top of the Menorah is the crown of the Torah? or perhaps kingship?
