Detailed
Description
Discourses by R. Nissan Raphael Isaac Zuriano. The title page has a decorative frame and is dated from the verse, And G-d blessed [his son] Isaac (Genesis 25:11). The text of the title page begins by describing the author as, a man of great deeds, the righteous, a man of Ramathaim (I Samuel 1:1), purified seven times (Psalms 12:7). There is an introduction from the authors son, R. Hayyim David Zuriano comprised of ten paragraphs, each beginning with Hayyim and concluding with Isaac. R. Hayyim David brought the book to press. The text follows, in two columns in rabbinic type, excepting headers and initial words. At the end of the volume is an index of sources. The discourses are eight discourses on Shabbat Teshuvah; eight on Shabbat Halbashah; eight on Shabbat ha-Gadol; seven on Shabbat Kallah; two on Nissuin; and eight hespedim. Two discourses, that is number three on Shabbat ha-Gadol and number three on Shabbat Kallah are by R. David Pardo.
