An enumeration and explanation of the taryag mitzvot by R. Baruch ben Zevi Heiperin. Mitzvot HaShem, according to the title page, is on the taryag mitzvot in the order of the Torah according to the understanding of the Rambam, the Ramban, Semag (Sefer mitavot ha-Godol), Semak (Sefer Mitzvot ha-Katan), and Sefer Haredim with the seven rabbinic mitzvot, some negative rabbinic precepts, some rabbinic enactments, the seven Noahide commandments and eighteen rules. For every mitzvah and every subject references in the Talmud and halakhic authorities. It further states that Mitzvot HaShem addresses transgressions generally and specifically according to the Rambam and other holy works. In addition it includes the taryag mitzvot according to the Halakhot ha-Gedolot transcribed according to his language without additions or subtractions, as well as the order of the avodah of the Tamid and mussafin and other communal offerings in the Temple according to the Rambam. Mitzvot HaShem was given approbations by R. Issachar Ber of the root of Zevi. There is an introduction that begins with quotes from the Semag and Semak, followed by a concise description of the fourteen principles of the mitzvot according to the Rambam, the order of the Sefer ha-Yad of the Rambam, and then the text. Mitzvot HaShem is set in a single column in rabbinic text with detailed marginal inserts of sources. The text of this comprehensive work is arranged according to the parasha of the Torah.
