Description Information
   First edition. 44 ff. octavo 170:113 mm., light age, damp, and use staining. A good copy bound in contemporary paper wrappers.
   Prayers to be recited for the ill and deceased, arranged by R. Joseph Hai ben Solomon Ashkenazi. The title page describes as remedies to be learned for the ill as accepted from sofrim, sons of Zion and selected sayings. It is dated “Praise God in his sanctuary” (Psalms 150:1). The text, set in a single column in square vocalized letters, is comprised of verses from the Torah and Prophets, sixty-eight chapters of Psalms, and the Mishnah from tractate Berakhot. The text with the seder ha-limud to be said by the eldest (or leader) among them followed by Hateret Kallot, which begins with by addressing the bet din shel Ma’alah, the holy Torah, the great Sanhedrin, the lesser (smaller) Sanhedrin, and this holy assembly, asking pardon for all curses, oaths, etc. This is followed by the actual body of Sefer Refu’ot, which begins with readings from Bereshit. An attractive volume of this type of work.

פסוקי תורה ונביאים, ששים ושמונה פרקי תהלים ומשנה מסכת ברכות. בהתחלת סדר הלימוד נאמר: "יתחיל הגדול שבהם ויאמר אחינו בני חברת מטיבי לכת... עתה אנחנו לומדים לשם יחוד קודשא בריך הוא ושכינתיה ולרפואת... פלוני...".
