Description
   Only edition of this unsual book of verse consisting of fifty-four poems on the weekly Torah portions and on the death of Moses by R. Abraham ben Daniel Delaville. The title page is followed by a dedication to the heads of the Seminary in Amsterdam, introductory verse, and then the text. Each Torah reading, beginning with Bereshit and concluding with ha-Berakhah has verse consisting of six lines. It is followed by Zikkaron Moshe, on the death of Moses. Zikkaron Moshe is in three parts, each of twelve lines. In both parts the text is in a single column in square vocalized letters.

R. Abraham ben Daniel Delaville, a poet of stature, was born in 1807 and died on 6 Sivan (May 18, 1877) (Shavuot) 1877.
