Only edition. 30 pp. octavo 205:140 mm., light age staining, wide margins. A very good copy bound in later boards, rubbed.
Only edition of this work on a proposal to increase faith and Torah by R. Jehiel Michael ben Zeev Rubinsky of Portland, Oregon. The brief text of the title page states that it is a proposal, great and honored, before the sages and geonim of our generation, who seek a corrective and are worried concerning the keeping of our faith and our Torah, so that the Torah not be forgotten in Israel. There is an introduction from R. Rubinsky who begins that he had thought of this for some time but due to various occurrences had been unable to publicize his ideas until now. When he heard the good tidings of the founding of Agudat Israel at Kattowitz he determined to bring this to press to divide them in Jacob, and scatter them in Israel (cf. Genesis 49:7), to bring about unity among Orthodox Jews that that it should not move forever (Psalms 104:5) for he builds upon a strong foundation. The foundation is the principle of a building, for without such a foundation no building can not stand. He has entitled the book Malkhut shel Torah for only by the merit of the Torah and the yeshivot as explained in this work have we stood through this long exile.
