Detailed
Description
Agreement by the rabbi and community leaders to honor the conditions of a widow upon the donation of a Sefer Torah in honor of her late husband. The widow, Rivka b. R. Asher, demands that kaddish be recited by one person for the entire firstyear of her husband's passing; two people are to study mishnah in his memory; and one person shall recite kaddish annualy on her late husband's yarzeit. The document was written and signed by the rabbi and six community leaders.

R. Levi Isaac b. Meshullem Zalman Frankel (Ashkenazi, d. 1864), Rabbi of Bucharest was a descendant of Hasidic rabbis, son in law of R. Jacob Joseph of Mohilev, grandson of the Be'er Mayyim Hayyim, the Degel Mahne Ephraim, the Kedushat Levi, and a brother of R. Samuel Frankel, father in law of the Belzer Rebbe. R. Levi Isaac's father changed the family name to Frankel from Ashkenazi - they were also descendants of the Haham Zevi.
