Letter by Admor of Koidanov, R. Hanokh Heinokh Dov b. Meshullam Zalman Joseph Silberfarb (1890-1978). He was born in Sztrapko and studied under his father and grandfather. He married Esther Dinah the daughter of R. Moses of Sulitza. In 1920 he became rabbi in Urial, Bessarabias, and in 1929, he succeeded his father in law as rebbe in Buczacz.
After the Holocaust he settled in Tel Aviv where he was the Admor of Koidanov and Buczacz. Toward the end of his life, almost blind, he spend the entire day in prayer and study. He was succeeded by his son Reb Aaron. |
