   Only edition. 107, [1] ff. quarto 265:200 mm., usual age staining, stamps. A good copy loose in contemporary boards, rubbed.
   Only edition of these discourses on the weekly Torah readings by R. Jacob ben Solomon Sukri. The title page is followed by an approbation from R. Solomon Sukri, father of the author and then R. Jacob Sukris introduction in which each paragraph being with Kol and end with Yaakov. It is followed by a page of remuzim, each line beginning bereshit, beginning with a notrakon. Next is the text in two columns in rabbinic type.

R. Jacob ben Solomon Sukris (d. 1980) father, R. Solomon Sukri, was av bet din in Damascus. His mother was a the daughter of R. Jacob Antebi, whom R. Sukri was named after. R. Sukri was hard pressed to support his large family but yet was occupied day and night in Torah. When the opportunity presented itself R. Sukri moved to Jerusalem. His financial burdens forced him to travel seeking assistance, going to Egypt and India. In addition to Vayikra Yaakov R. Sukri wrote Yoru Mishpat le-Ya;akov (Calcutta, 1882), analogies and parables.
