Illustrated Jewish childrenís journal under the direction of Siegmund Springer, Chairman of the Jewish National Teacherís Association in Boehmen (Obmann des israelitischen Landes-Lehrervereines in Böhmen). Jung Juda, founded in1899/1900 by Filipp Lebenhart, was a Czech German-language fortnightly that survived until late in the 1930s. It was the first Zionist German journal for youth. This is volume VIII, consisting of twenty-six issues published from January 11, 1905 (25 Tevet 5667) through November 27, 1905 (22 Tevet 5668). The issues are bound together with a volume title page and comprehensive table of contents dated 1907. The articles in Jung Juda consist of poems, biographies, instructional essays, letters, pearls from the Talmud, sayings, riddles, pictorial riddles, translations, and a conversational corner (Jung Judas Plauderecke). The text is in a single column in Fraktur. There are illustrations, drawings, and photographs as well as other decorative material. The front end paper has the stamp of the Bibliothek der Israel Kultusgemeinde, Troppau and a similar stamp is on the title page, which also has some markings.
